A Gift from Loch Lomond is the idea of brothers Stuart and David Fraser. They are partners in the multi-award winning Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha, Loch Lomond.
Stuart and David, like their brothers and sisters, grew up with The Oak Tree Inn working behind the scenes at the popular bar and restaurant that their parents Sandy and Lucy first opened in 1997.
It was around seven years ago, whilst they were setting up a new Village Shop, to sit alongside The Oak Tree, that the brothers got a taste for retail. The shop sells gifts, groceries and essentials, however their real passion is for authentic Loch Lomond gifts and products. They enjoy working with local creatives, providing them with a retail platform for their products.
With the Village Shop successfully up and running the duo turned their attentions to new ideas, products and brands for their business. They created St Mocha Coffee, with outlets in Balmaha and on Luss Pier and developed a smokehouse and microbrewery. They also organised what is now an annual festival - 'Balmaha's Braw Weekend', all this plus the launch of Loch Lomond's first authentic homemade ice cream brand - Loch Lomond Luxury Ice Cream.
A Gift from Loch Lomond is their latest idea to come to life. Bringing together in one place, an ever expanding range of authentic Loch Lomond gifts and experiences, available for purchase from anywhere in the world. All the items sold on this website are either about, or made in Loch Lomond.
They have been assisted with the launch of A Gift from Loch Lomond by local media consultant & photographer Paul Saunders. Paul has created this website and taken all of its photographs. The website also sells some of his range of Loch Lomond scenic images and photography experiences.
The family connection continues, with two of Stuart and David's sisters, Nina and Holly, who have their own company Loch Lomond Rocks. Some of their leading products including Loch Lomond pebble art pictures and candles are available on this website.
All of the team involved with A Gift from Loch Lomond live in Loch Lomond and are passionate about this beautiful part of Scotland. All of the items sold are either about, or made in Loch Lomond.
